Alchemy - It's like Ink Blot Images for Artistic "Mental Block" Patients
Alchemy is something I found while following a Blender Project called Sintel.
Check it out here: Sintel Blender Project
It it's own right you should check it out, as it is a beautiful artwork created entirely with the Blender software (a completely free open source 3d application) . Blender is a slow bubbling revolution for the digital artist, it is something that has made the big name software developers wake up and realise they can't corner the market with over priced software), Gimp was also used in creating Sintel (A great FREE alternative to Photoshop), as well as Alchemy.
Alchemy is really a cool application based on cognitive interpretation. You draw with different brushes what resembles a mess and you interpret what you will of it. With Practice and control (and time), you can sculpt really advanced designs, whether it be for characters, vehicles or just when you have a mental block and need some inspiration.

Here is the progress image of the result of my first use of Alchemy late one night after work.

The Best Place to Start is at the Beginning
Welcome to the Australian Artisan's Blog.
Sounds a little weird - kinda like a Bog ... welcome to my Bog ... hmm.
I now have a Bog like Sir Didimus and his Bog of Eternal Stench... well it could be half true - my postings might stink, but I'll do my best to stay on track and keep it fresh.
Here you will find all the ideas, works in progress and finished artworks of Joshua Ali - an Australian Artisan.
If you would like to find out more about the artist, I'm sure all will be revealed in the coming posts... but for now let's start at the beginning.
